Clothing

Check the weather for Las Vegas before your leave.
Weather Underground and the Weather Channel are good sources for average seasonal data and multi-day forecasts.
Wear clothes that are comfortable and appropriate.
A typical trip to Vegas includes standing around watching weird stuff, walking The Strip, sitting for shows and gaming, and carrying bags (luggage or shopping). All of it exposes you to accidental stains and spills. The best clothing is loose-fitting, wrinkle resistant, easy to clean and fast drying.
Invest in clothing designed specifically for travelers.
Some travel companies sell sportcoats, jackets, pants, suits and dresses designed specifically to be stuffed into suitcases and overhead bins. But they bounce back looking fresh and pressed. This stuff is usually easy to wash -- in a bathroom sink at night, for example. Then hang it up to air-dry, and wear again the next day. This clothing often has hidden or more-secure pockets to discourage pickpockets.
Use layering to compensate for swings in temperature.
Heating and air conditioning -- or the lack of it -- can create wide variations in room temperature. At least have a sweater or jacket. Multiple clothing layers lets you peel off or add layers as needed. The  travel clothing fabric (above) can help you feel warmer in cold weather. And more comfortable in hot weather.
Wear footwear designed for hard surfaces.
Stylish shoes can help you look great. They can also destroy your feet if you walk too far. So plan to use them strategically. The rest of the time, choose comfort and support over style. Also: try insoles. And carry moleskin to cushion blisters that develop.
Consider bringing a second pair of shoes.
Best to select a pair that's different than what you are already wearing. For example: the second pair offers more support. Or more room. Or is made of a softer material. The purpose: to provide relief from the first pair.
Leave the jewelry behind.
Jewelry can draw unnecessary attention in unfamiliar neighborhoods. Rings can dig into fingers when you carry a heavy bag. Dangling earrings and long necklaces can catch on something embarrassing or dangerous. Again, great accessories to use at the right times. The rest of the time, avoid the hassle altogether.
Pack additional clothing appropriate for special events.
Fancy restaurants. Luxury shopping. Visits to an outlet mall. Golf. Nature walks. VIP nightclubbing. Crazy parties. Virtually endless variety. And it's very common to get invited to something you weren't expecting. Requirements can range from a tuxedo or gown to sportswear to a Halloween costume. If the proper attire is not specifically defined, call the concierge to verify exactly what they expect.
